Greetings Renewal Church,
BISD Update
Earlier this week, the Belton ISD Superintendent, Dr. Matt Smith, made the following statements:
“In a continued effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus and prioritize the safety of our students and staff, our district-wide closure will remain in place through Monday, May 4, with students returning to class on Tuesday, May 5.”
“This reopening goal exceeds current federal recommendations and follows the announcement made this afternoon by our state leaders but could change again depending on conditions a month from now.”
The situation remains fluid, but at this point it seems as though we may gather together again at North Belton Middle School on Sunday, May 10.
This Week
This coming Sunday we will release a pre-recorded sermon at 10:00 am on our web site ( www.RenewalChurch.net ) or YouTube Channel ( www.RenewalChurch.tv )just like we have the last few weeks.
Also, look for a Holy Week Family Devotional on the church website this Sunday. It will be a joy to meditate on the week that led to the resurrection together!
Live Steaming on Easter
If everything goes well with our new technology, we will begin live streaming Sunday Worship Gatherings on Easter, April 12. I look forward to gathering together at the same time—even if it’s virtual!
Staying Connected
I encourage you to stay connected with one another during this challenging season. In an effort to help us stay connected, we will share a Quarantine Care Google Doc with all Renewal Church Covenant Members this weekend. This online document will allow us to share prayer requests and needs so that we can better serve one another.
Keeping Your Eyes on Jesus
Let us all remember “…that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
The good work that God began in your life and in our church will be completed. The coronavirus cannot stop the purposes of God. The Spirit of God is going to bring good fruit in our lives and in Renewal Church through this pandemic. Let us together keep our eyes on Jesus!
Blessings,
Pastor Matthew
